Piper's Pocket One Size Pocket Diaper Pattern. FREE!!

This is a one size pocket diaper pattern that I drafted. It is free and you are welcome to sell any diapers that you make from it. Piper is my daughter and I came up with this pattern because I feel it works well, and a lot better than some of the other "Brand" name pockets I've tried. Just add rise snaps to your diapers and it's a one size diaper! Also, if you prefer snaps to aplix, just place where the aplix and side aplix tabs would go.

The RRP! To DIE for!

So my DH (darling husband) just surprised me with my very first sewing machine, and what do you think was my first project? You guessed it! Cloth diapers!

So I downloaded and printed out a Rita's Rump Pattern otherwise known as RRP! I pieced it together and taped it up! Really NICE pattern! Very easy to follow for a beginner and def something I can continue to improve at. I love the fact that it's a pocket, but I'm using NATURAL materials for. I made 5 diapers so far and they came out great! It's a fantastic pattern and now I'm in trouble because not only do I have the cloth love, but the sewing love too! All my money is going on fabric now I can just see it! Take a look! Not bad if I say so myself! :)

Prefolds, Prefolds, Prefolds!!!

No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to forget my prefolds! I have the Bumgenius OS pocket diapers which is what I use at this point, but I just find myself often daydreaming about my prefolds! I think of all the different ways to fold them, the fact that a growing baby can't remove them by themselves, esp if there is a snappi involved! I just have been saying to myself that I will use my prefolds when my daughter is older, if she outgrows her Bumgenius before she's potty trained! I have 22 Bumgenius diapers so I feel that if I use my prefolds I'm wasting them. Maybe I'll use the prefolds as stuffers for my BG and let you know how that went! There are so many great cloth choices out there! Too bad my funds are not unlimited!

Bumgenius woes!

Well, Piper and I LOVE her cloth diapers, but, the latest thing to be plaguing us is the leaking, stinky diaper problem! OH NO! Every cloth diaper user must have come across this at some point in their cloth diaper journey. These days I'm trying everything to get rid of it! Haha

Okay, fast forward 6 days later and I've finally gotten rid of the smell! I stripped the diapers using Dawn original dish detergent and some bleach with a reg wash afterwards! I use powdered Tide detergent to wash all my cloth diapers and that seems to be the best! I just ordered one Mommy's Touch OS pocket diaper to try and I'll let you know how I like them as soon as I get it and am able to try it!
